It seems that pop star Beyonce may soon be walking down the aisle as beau
Jay-Z popped the question during a luxury holiday in Cannes at the end of
May.
The couple, who have been dating since 2002, are reportedly getting set
for a big autumn wedding in Hawaii.
"This will be the hip-hop wedding to end all hip-hop weddings," the News
of the World quoted a close pal, as saying.
Jay-Z, who cancelled a tour of the US promoting his Roc-A-Fella business
empire to see his lady love perform in the UK, has apparently promised
Beyonce "the biggest diamond she can fit on her finger" when she decides
on a design for her engagement ring.
Beyonce had recently revealed that she wanted to settle down and have
kids.
"I want to get married and really want a familyin a perfect world I'd
have two boys and a girl. You know someone loves you by the way he treats
you and respects you. Me and Jay respect each other," she said.
A spokesman for Jay-Z however refused to comment on the couple's reported
engagement or wedding plans.
