In hot summer, women in Changchun city, Jilin Province tend to expose
more and more in their clothing style. At the same time, sexual
harassment cases have increased in public places. Psychologists warn that
women should not expose too much in summer.
Local resident Ms. Wang said that several days ago, she saw a young woman
wearing a small shirt with much of her back exposed in public places.
When she moved about, the sides of her body and even her breasts can
sometimes be seen. However, the young girl kept walking and laughing with
her companions as if there were nobody around. Another local citizen Mr.
Liu said that he saw a covey of girls wearing very little in the street a
couple of days ago, every one of them donning only a piece of cloth to
cover the sensitive parts of their bodies.
In recent years, having very little on has become a favorite choice for
women living in cities. Wearing little, women will expose their back,
part of their breast, waist or a large part of their legs in public
places. To be dressed in such style can make women feel cool in summer,
but they forgot that they might suffer from sexual harassment in public
places such as in buses, supermarkets or sports stadiums.
Li Min, senior psychological consultant from the Jilin Women and
Childrens Psychological Consulting Center said that apart from the hot
weather, many women prefer the style because their want to follow the
fashion, or show themselves off.
Li said that it is reasonable for people to wear less in summer time.
However, women should pay attention to their clothing style and should
wear appropriate clothes at appropriate time and in appropriate place.
Meanwhile, they should know how to protect themselves. Only through these
means can sexual harassment cases be reduced or prevented.
